Souvik brings to Amber Lion Middle East 14 years of experience across corporate banking, wealth management, asset management, investment management, private equity and capital-raising
– across Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and the broader Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region.
Souvik is a renowned and seasoned capital-raiser across the UAE, and was instrumental in listing Anghami Inc. on the NASDAQ in 2022, when he helped raise the PIPE (private investment for public equity) for the first-ever SPAC (special purpose acquisition vehicle) transaction involving the Middle East.
Prior to this, Souvik has held senior positions with his previous roles with Apex Fund Services, Vistas Media Capital, as well as BanyanTree Bank (Mauritius).
Souvik holds an MSc in Management from Nottingham Trent University (UK), and a BS in Business Administration from Drexel University (US). He is fluent in English, Hindi, and Bengali.
