Muhammad Rafik Seedat

Rafik is an accomplished Senior Executive Officer, with a career spanning more than three decades in leading asset and wealth management divisions within diverse financial institutions in the UAE (Dubai), UK (London), and US (New York).

Rafik holds a track record of managing high-value portfolios, with robust knowledge across asset classes, including private markets, real estate, hedge funds, derivatives, and listed securities. He has a proven expertise in client acquisition, relationship management, and advisory services across the globe.

Rafik holds both buy-side and sell-side experience, and has dealt with UHNWIs, institutions, SWFs, and corporates to facilitate both investments and portfolio risk management. He has worked in senior positions with banks such as Merrill Lynch, ABN AMRO, Societe Generale, Mashreq, Emirates NBD, and James Capel (now HSBC). More recently, he entered the external asset manager industry by joining a single-family office in Dubai as SEO.

Rafik holds a BSc in Management Sciences from the University of Manchester (England), with a specialist module in Economics. In addition, in the United States, he is the holder of the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD, now FINRA) Series 7 certification, as well as the Commodity Futures Commission (CFTC, now administered by the NFA/FINRA) Series 3 certification.
