Robert William Maclean, LL.B

Robert has over 20 years experience in the legal profession and is a dual-qualified solicitor in both Scotland and England/Wales, as well as the holder of an LL.B from the University of Aberdeen (Scotland).
He was formerly In-House Legal Counsel for the Stannifer Group of companies, which were the UK’s largest privately-owned property development company before joining Edinburgh-based law firm Anderson Strathern as a Partner in the Corporate Department.
He spent 5 years at Anderson Strathern during which time he took a key role in establishing its Glasgow office and was the lead legal advisor to the City Legacy consortium responsible for the construction and development of the athletes’ village for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games.
Robert returned from legal practice to the business arena and spent more than 12 years as a Group Board Director at Scott Group Investments. He was subsequently appointed Group General Counsel to the BSW Group, the largest integrated forestry business in the UK, which acquired the Scott Group in late 2022.
Robert is now a Director at the Neviswave Group which is the family investment company of the former Scott Group shareholders.
