Bassem is a seasoned multinational lawyer and former finance executive with extensive experience spanning the UAE, Luxembourg, and the US (New York, Boston, and Miami). Throughout his career, he has provided comprehensive legal, investment, and business solutions to a diverse clientele. His portfolio includes ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWIs), wealth & investment managers, family offices, Fortune 500 corporations, real estate and private equity groups, banking and financial institutions, as well as prominent figures in the realms of athletes, luxury brands, Hollywood artists, and red-carpet designers.
Formerly serving as President & CEO (Americas) of IQ-EQ, one of the largest investor and fund services groups globally, Bassem boasts a wealth of experience gained from leading roles in prestigious law firms across the Middle East and Europe, including Bonn & Schmitt (Luxembourg) and Galadari Advocates (UAE), where he is currently a Partner.
Bassem holds independent board positions in various industries, including investment companies and financial institutions, is a sought-after public speaker at major conferences, contributes to prominent media outlets, and shares his expertise as a lecturer at the Government of Dubai Legal Affairs Department.
Fluent in English, French, Arabic, and Spanish, Bassem’s academic achievements include a Master of Laws (LL.M) in Banking & Finance Law from Boston University, a Master in Private Law from the Saint Joseph University of Beirut (Lebanon), along with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Sciences & Public Administration. He is currently pursuing his PhD thesis at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, focusing on cross-border investments.
